Whats the best way of transferring your Ipod library from 2 computers?

I've bought a new computer and have about 200 albums on my ipod. How do I copy my library over to my new computer so I can access it through itunes. There are software programs on the internet but with free software I'm worried of putting spyware or viruses on my new computer. What's the best program to use?

also make sure the sync function is disabled or the ipod will marry a single pc and want to erase your files while switching to different pc's/mac's

The easiest way would be to download a fantastic little program called Music Rescue. It's saved my life twice now!

You download the program to the PC you want to copy your library over to, then connect your iPod. Music Rescue will recognise your iPod and ask you if you want to copy all files. And that's it...as simple as it sounds!

However, make sure you've also got iTunes downloaded BEFORE copying the files. This way, iTunes creates a music folder on your PC, so when Music Rescue asks you to select the destination to copy files to, you can select the iTunes folder. By doing this, you avoid having to load all your music from one folder on your PC into your iTunes folder. They need to be saved in the designated iTunes folder for them to show up in your iTunes library.
